A Word From The Author

I was born in Bonn, Germany, and grew up in the charming village of Odendorf. My pursuit of knowledge led me to study Business Psychology at Hochschule Fresenius in Cologne. However, in August 2011, I decided to follow my heart and venture into the world of poker as a part of Team Pokerstars. Now, I call Vienna, Austria, my home, continuously pushing the boundaries of my poker career.

2010 WSOP Main Event

This event marked my first entry into a major live tournament, and it turned out to be the most successful one so far. I achieved my first money finish by making it to the final table of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event and securing the 7th place, which earned me over $80,000 in winnings.

During the final table, I found myself in the 7th position in terms of chip count, competing alongside renowned players like Martin Staszko, Eoghan O’Dea, and Ben Lamb. Through unwavering determination and seizing every opportunity, I managed to rise above the competition and emerged as the ultimate winner, claiming the prestigious first prize of $8,715,638.

Having reached the final stage in July, the 2011 November Nine contenders reconvened on a Sunday to determine the top three players. Following a day of rest, Pius Heinz, Ben Lamb, and Martin Staszko returned to the esteemed Penn and Teller Theater located within the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino, where they battled for the prestigious accolade of poker immortality.
